Armelle Arrou

Graduated of political sciences and journalism, Ms Armelle Arrou, initially joined UNESCO’s Assistance programme for independent media in conflict areas in 1993, which she developped in former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC and in Afghanistan.

In 2002, she launched the open educational content action joining the ICT and Education team with the creation of the Open Training Platform (11 UN agencies and hundreds of development organisations). She was at that time in charge of private partnerships with the ICT industries.

She became Head of the Special events at UNESCO in 2008 managing over 140 cultural and corporate events UNESCO organizes yearly. In addition, from 2014, she developped ex nihilo a section dedicated to corporate comunication and partnerships, also covering communication campaigns, marketing operations and HQ public valorization.
