Professor Anjana Jacob

Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy

Anjana Jacob is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University in Qatar. Her current work focuses on how contemporary philosophical conceptions of consciousness are limited by technical concepts in modern logic. Her research spans the areas of philosophy of mind, philosophical logic, and Kantian ethics. 

 At Georgetown Qatar, Anjana teaches a wide range of courses, from logic to philosophy of gender, and takes an active interest in expanding the philosophy curriculum to include philosophers and writings from non-Western traditions that are often excluded. She has been a member of the Georgetown Qatar faculty since 2014. 

 Anjana holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she studied at the University of Cambridge and the University of Delhi.
