Jinhua Shen graduated from the Social Work Department of China Women’s Academy in July 2005. She has participated in cultural education services for migrant populations since 2003. In February 2005 she was actively involved in community night school for migrant populations, volunteer management and volunteer training. 

Since July 2005, she has led the establishment of Tongxin Experimental School and its management. She has done a great deal of research into migrant children’s education, family education and community involvement and created a community children’s activity center in Tongxin providing one-on-one education for the student community, and involvement and economic collaboration for female workers. Jinhua is developing a support service system to track migrant children.
