Flavio Bassi is a global Leadership Group Member of Ashoka and Vice President for Latin America. He currently leads Ashoka’s Education and Childhood strategy. Previously, Flavio served as regional director of Ashoka in Southern Africa. With degrees in Biology and Social Sciences and a Master’s in Social Anthropology, he also founded and served as executive director of Ocareté, a citizen-sector organization active in the social-environmental field with indigenous and other traditional communities in Brazil’s Amazon and Atlantic Rainforest.
