She is affiliated with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Qatar Foundation (QF). Her work explores the microeconomics of childhood disability in Qatar, as well as disability policymaking and inclusive education in the Arab Gulf region. Shaban is presently pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the widespread phenomenon of children with disabilities unable to enter the education space in the Gulf context.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props='{\"134233117\":false,\"134233118\":false,\"201341983\":0,\"335551550\":1,\"335551620\":1,\"335559685\":0,\"335559737\":0,\"335559738\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}'>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Shaban is also the founder of the Qatar Disability Resource (QADR), a platform addressing information gaps within the disability community and helping build human connections and support.
