Gitanjali Rao was recognized as America\u2019s Top Young Scientist and received an EPA Presidential award for inventing her device \u201cTethys\u201d\u2014an early lead detection tool. Gitanjali is also the inventor of \u201cEpione\u201d\u2014a device for early diagnosis of prescription opioid addiction using genetic engineering, and \u201cKindly\u201d\u2014an anti-cyberbullying service using AI and Natural Language processing.<\/p>\n
She was honored as\u00a0Forbes<\/i>\u00a0\u201c30 Under 30 in Science\u201d in 2019 and\u00a0TIME<\/i>\u2019s \u201cTop Young Innovator\u201d and \u201cTIME Kid of the Year\u201d for her innovations and STEM workshops she conducts globally, which has inspired over 53,000 students in the last two years across six continents and 27 countries. In her sessions, she shares her own process of innovation that can be used by students all over the world. She often presents in global and corporate forums on innovation and the importance of STEM.<\/p>\n
