Dr. Tzu-Bin Lin got his Ph.D. from the Institute of Education, London with a focus on media literacy education and education policy. His academic career started form the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP) at Bournemouth University as a full-time researcher. Then, in 2009, he moved to the National Institute of education (NIE) in Singapore where he conducted a large-scale survey of media literacy among primary and middle school students in Singapore with a small group of researchers. Moreover, a theoretical framework of understanding media literacy has proposed as a foundation of developing a measuring instrument for the survey.<\/p>\n
\nIn 2013, Dr. Lin joined the Department of Education in National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). He is a distinguished associate professor and the head of Intern Programs and Supervision Division at NTNU. Meanwhile, Dr. Lin is also involved in the collaboration center of the Ministry of Education Taiwan. In 2018, he was invited to the Faculty of Education in Kyushu University (Japan) as a visiting professor.<\/div>\n
\nDr. Lin\u2019s research interests include media literacy, education policy and leadership, TESOL and research method. He serves in the editorial board of NAMLE Journal of Media Literacy Education, Asia TEFL and several other international and national journals. In the past ten years, Dr. Lin published about 70 journal papers and book chapters in the field of media literacy and education policy and leadership. In 2015, he had an edited volume,\u00a0New Media and Learning in the 21st Century: A Socio-cultural Perspective<\/em>, published by Springer.
