Jasmin Higo is currently pursuing a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration and International Management at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Ingolstadt, Germany. She is a first-generation Arabic-speaking German Muslim with Eritrean and Ethiopian roots. She is a recipient of more than six national and international scholarships, including the \u201cDeutschlandstiftung Integration\u201d which is under the auspices of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Having always believed in the power of education, Jasmin raised 34,500 EUR in sponsorship to build a school in Gefre Guda, Ethiopia and supported further progressive educational projects in Argentina, Ghana, Malaysia. She was\u00a0 also chosen to volunteer for one year for an international nonprofit organization in the United States to alleviate intergenerational and intercultural barriers through educational programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n
Jasmin has been involved in eleven honorary offices, such as a paramedic leader, voluntary teacher for four languages, student mentor and language mediator for refugees. Jasmin is a board member of the Muslim Student Association in Munich (IHV) and is responsible for community involvement, empowerment strategies, and advocacy programs. Due to the success of her projects, she was invited to a panel discussion on the topic \u201cGermany\u2019s Role in International Development\u201d with former German President Horst K\u00f6hler.
