Aiman Erbad is an Associate Professor and ICT Division Head in the College of Science and Engineering, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). Prior to this, he was an Associate Professor and a Director of Research at Qatar University (2016-2020). Dr. Erbad obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (Canada). He received the PhD Platinum Education Excellence Day award from H.H. The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in 2013. He published more than 190 research papers in prestigious venues and received three international best paper awards. He provides technical expertise to different national and regional stakeholders in matters related to Artificial Intelligence, and Higher Education matters. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM.
