Diana Wells is President Emerita of Ashoka. As President, she led Ashoka’s global expansion and the significant increase in the number of Fellows, while helping to shape overall strategy and operations. In earlier roles at Ashoka she implemented one of the first standard assessment tools for systems change impact. Dr Wells has a Ph.D in anthropology from NYU, and she was named a Fulbright and a Woodrow Wilson Scholar. She received a BA from Brown University, where she has also served as a Trustee.
