Education Specialist, NRC- Iran

As an Education Specialist in the Norwegian Refugee Council – Iran, Lamis provides technical support, oversee educational projects and advocate for children and youth rights to access education. Over the past years, NRC has been working hard to increase access to formal education for out of school children through rehabilitating a significant number of classrooms and WASH facilities and construction of new schools as well. With over 11 years in leading and managing educational programmes in conflict zones countries such as: Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Jordan and South Sudan, Lamis gained a strong experience in Education in Emergency and managed to set-up educational programmes in very challenging and complicated contexts. Key objective during emergency “Protected, Connected and Learn” is what drives Lamis to ensure refugee and displaced children and youth have the opportunity to continue their education and maintain their own wellbeing.
