Achyuta Samanta is an educationist and entrepreneur par excellence. He dared to dream and, despite all odds, his determination and confidence helped him succeed. He has set up one of the finest world-class universities in the most backward state and a residential institute for tribal children. Through this endeavour, he has clearly demonstrated a new approach to inclusive education, educational transformation and innovation. This unique experiment is a model for many educational institutions worldwide.

KIIT University was established to finance KISS (the largest residential institute for tribal children). Its level of Corporate Social Sector Responsibility is high by any standard.
