Jonathan Penson is the Norwegian Refugee Council’s Education Adviser for the Greater Horn of Africa Region, and is based in Nairobi. He has experience in education policy, planning and programme management, in the public, private and NGO sectors, at international, national and district levels. He is an experienced team leader with particular expertise in education in emergencies, teacher development, capacity building and results-based management. He has previously worked in countries including Botswana, Ethiopia, Nepal, Rwanda and Somaliland.
