Ms. Asia Kamukama is a Development Economist by profession and is very passionate about empowering communities with knowledge. She has been actively promoting the use of ICT for Development in rural communities for five years.

As a Co-Founder and Country Director of Maendeleo Foundation Uganda, she has been actively involved in building the organization’s structure and designing innovative and relevant ICT programs. She has been a key person behind programs such as the MSCC and Connect Uganda which aim to stimulate rural and suburban communities to take advantage of the economic and educational as well as income-generating opportunities presented by computer literacy and information sharing.
