Dr. Hanada serves as a consultant to several Arab and international institutions, including the World Bank, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, the U.S. Agency for International Development, Scholastic, the Arab Thought Foundation, and the ministries of education in Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, as well as the Global Languages Initiative, Sesame Street, and the Executive Office of the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

She created the first reading classification system for children’s literature, which has categorized more than 11,000 Arabic children’s books to date. She also developed an Arabic language curriculum aligned with standards and children’s literature in collaboration with Pearson International.

Dr. Hanada conducts scientific research on Arabic language teaching and learning, early reading, teacher preparation and training, curriculum analysis, and policy development. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, the Academic Committee of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, and the Advisory Council for the Arabic Language in the United Arab Emirates.
