Sarah Shaath is part of the graduating class of 2020 at Northwestern University in Qatar. She is this year’s recipient of the Dean’s Award and served as the student body president, the captain of the NU-Q’s women’s basketball team and a managing editor for The Daily Q, the student online publication in her senior year. She is passionate about storytelling and using knowledge and education as a tool to do so. By understanding the importance of knowledge, she is driven to shape her knowledge to better use in the world today. Given the recent pandemic, it has made her more keen to use her education as a tool to enhance her knowledge and become a growing leader in today’s era.
