Vahakn Papazian

Vahakn Papazian is the Director of Product Engineering at the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, where he leads technical innovation in educational technology. Born in Barcelona, Spain, Vahakn earned his degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.

A passionate product engineer who believes in building teams that are greater than the sum of their parts, Vahakn began his career at Ripple before joining Slack during its period of hypergrowth, and later Airtable during a similar scaling phase. Across his tenure at these three technology companies, he served as a tech lead and staff engineer while volunteering nights and weekends at TUMO.

Driven by his commitment to education and giving back, Vahakn eventually transitioned from the for-profit tech world to the non-profit sector, bringing his leadership experience from Silicon Valley unicorns to advance educational technology. In his current role, he oversees product engineering initiatives that scale TUMO’s educational programs globally, delivering cutting-edge learning experiences to students worldwide.

Vahakn’s unique combination of technical leadership and dedication to educational impact positions him at the forefront of developing innovative learning solutions as AI reshapes the future of education.
