In Brazil, the quality of rural education is lower than in the cities. There are 68,000 rural schools serving 12 percent of Brazilian students. At these schools, the challenges are even greater: they are isolated, small, and lack of qualified teachers, resources and transportation.
With its belief in the transformative potential of using technology in education, the Telefonica Vivo Foundation seeks to improve the quality of rural education trough online teacher training programs, as well as through the creation of content that respects the diversity of Brazil´s rural environment.
