Abi has been working on and with networks since 2013 in practical, research and consultancy-based capacities. She has developed specific expertise around alumni networks, particularly in low resource contexts. On this subject, she’s published guides, resources and research.

She has advised networks across more than 15 countries, from start-ups in Australia and New Zealand, school networks across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, leadership and fellowship programmes in the UK and South Africa, and global scholarship programmes like the Mastercard Foundation and British Council, and large-scale volunteer networks such as Citizens Advice. She was named one of The Futures Project’s 18 inaugural ‘Innovators for the Future’ Fellows in 2020 for the role of inHive’s work in contributing to the SDGs.
