Executive Director of Doha International Family Institute

Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al Emadi is the Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) and a licensed psychotherapist by the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar, specializing in addiction, behavioral disorders, and family therapy. Additionally, she teaches Family Relations at Qatar University. Dr. Al Emadi has conducted several courses and training workshops in psychotherapy, family therapy, addiction, and behavioral disorder prevention both within Qatar and internationally. She has presented specialized papers at numerous international conferences and has co-authored several studies and research articles, some of which have been published in global journals. She has also served as Executive Director of Social Protection and Rehabilitation and Executive Director of International and Community Relations at the Naufar Center.

Dr. Al Emadi is an active member of various organizations in Qatar, including the Subcommittee on Drug Prevention, the National Committee on Women, Children, Elderly, and Persons with Disabilities, and the United Nations Addiction Specialists Group.

She holds both a master’s and PhD in Marital and Family Counseling from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. She was also awarded the Platinum Scientific Excellence Award in the PhD category in 2009.
