Bayan Khaled is a Research Fellow at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Her research area focuses on Islam, social media and other global affairs and she organizes events that empower youth to unleash their creativity. Her education and experience have added to her wide range of skills in writing, storytelling and video production. Moreover, she has experience with media software, social media, and public relations. Bayan graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology. She went on to complete her Masters in Journalism and Communications from the University of Western Ontario. During her studies, Bayan developed a passion for writing poetry and producing videos on topics she feels strongly about.
