Mr. Maria A. May

Senior Program Manager of BRAC

Maria A. May is the senior program manager for the BRAC Social Innovation Lab and also oversees financial education, research, and development for the BRAC Microfinance Programme. She is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She co-authored Making Tuberculosis History: Community-based Solutions for Millions and regularly blogs on 59minutedevelopment.blogspot.com.

Prior to joining BRAC in 2011, she spent three years working with Harvard’s Global Health Delivery Project with a particular focus on strategy and scale up. She completed a fellowship with the New York State Department of Health’s National Quality Center, which works to improve public services available to people living with HIV.
Maria graduated from Harvard College in 2006, with a degree in Sociology and certificate in Health Policy.  She is originally from North Carolina.
