Sérgio Brodsky (LL.M, MBA) is Head of Strategy at global media communications agency Initiative, Australia. Sérgio is also a regular columnist at Marketing Magazine, a scholar of the prestigious The Marketing Academy and its Alumni Chairman. Sérgio began his career as an IP lawyer before finally pivoting towards brand strategy, media and innovation, internationally.

Sérgio’s passion for cities, culture and the role of brands and technology in society lead him to the development of a radically innovative approach to brand communications he coined Urban Brand-Utility (UBU). UBU responds to the irreversible challenges posed by urbanisation by turning brand communications into a network of creative urban resilience and accelerating the emergence of smart cities. The UBU concept has already been published worldwide and took Sérgio onto high-profile global stages, such as Berlin’s Marketing Management Kongress (2017), Melbourne’s Pause Fest (2018) and many others.
