Chief of Global Engagement, Micro:bit

Hal Speed is an advocate for all students learning computer science and believes these skills are necessary for socioeconomic mobility and the future prosperity of nations in the digital age. He is currently the Chief of Global Engagement for the Micro:bit Educational Foundation that provides educational learning tools for computational thinking, programming and making.

Previously, Hal held strategy and marketing roles with technology startups and corporations such as Dell, AMD and Texas Instruments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Tech.
