With extensive managerial experience with UNODC, currently leading the Global Programme for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, previously coordinating the global programme for narcotics control and law enforcement capacity-building, and having worked in UNODC’s field offices in Guinea-Bissau, Senegal and Liberia, I am passionate about international cooperation, criminology and security. Before joining the UN Family I worked eleven years for the Portuguese Public Security Police with leading roles, including in a secondment to the UN Special Political Mission (UNIOGBIS).
