Janet currently leads and manages the Advanced Broadband Enabled Learning (ABEL) program at York University. In this role she has the unique position of having responsibility in both K-12 and post-secondary education. As the Manager of Innovative Learning Solutions, Janet provides leadership in the implementation of blended learning programs to students, staff/faculty, and the community. Janet has received provincial and national awards recognizing her vision, her commitment and her leadership in promoting the effective use of technology for education, and her achievement in creating new 21st-century learning environments in schools and faculties. Janet has presented papers at national and international conferences on the use of technology for teaching and learning and its transformative impact on education and society, and has published the research-based results of the ABEL program in international journals.
