Dr Peter Sutoris is an Environmental Anthropologist, filmmaker, writer and Education and International Development expert. He is the author of the documentary film The Undiscovered Country and two books, Visions of Development (Oxford University Press, 2016) and Educating for the Anthropocene (The MIT Press, forthcoming 2022). Originally from Slovakia, he has lived and worked in India, Nepal, South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Marshall Islands, USA and the UK, where he is currently based. His research focuses on how different groups of people imagine the future differently as well as on identifying pathways towards a radical reimagination of sustainability.
