Steve Cumming is Associate Director of the Secondary Education and TVET Technical Expertise Group at Mastercard Foundation, where he leads a team focused on youth and skill development. Over the past seven years at Mastercard Foundation, Steve has developed a portfolio of youth economic development and workforce programs for young people, including most recently, Hanga Ahazaza, an initiative focused on tourism and hospitality training for young people in Rwanda. Steve has also been involved in the Foundations Youth Engagement work and sits on the executive committee of the Donor Committee on Enterprise Development. Prior to working at the Foundation, Steve worked in youth programming and development. He has lived and worked across the African continent. Steve has graduate degrees in Social Work and Post-war Reconstruction and Development.
