Khalifa is the Manager of National Scholarship at Sidra Medicine. As Scholarship Manger, he develops and overseas the implementation of policies and processes for student recruitment, scholarship administration and talent pipelines in accordance to Sidra National Development goals. Prior to joining Sidra, Khalifa was Student Recruitment Specialist at Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Member of Qatar Foundation, where he helped in advising and recruiting high potential Qatari students to join education city universities. Khalifa recently graduated from Penn State with A master degree in Counselor Education with emphasis in Career Counseling. During his study at Penn State, he worked for 600 hours as a career counselor in Penn State Career Services, one of the largest in the US.

The purpose of Khalifa’s master paper is to describe a career-planning course design for public secondary schools in Qatar in order to meet students’ needs and support the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030). The course was designed to support all secondary-school classes (i.e., Grades 10–12) and both increase students’ knowledge of postsecondary opportunities and careers and guide them through transitioning better into postsecondary life.
